I just heard this story on the radio - House fire as dog turns on cooker! The consequences could have been much worse than they were, obviously, but what really amused me was that the dog's name was Alfie! (now known as the Alfonist).
Watch those surfaces now that those 'puppies' are so big. Alfie now weighs 33kg - more than mum and has a fair bit of filling out to do yet.
